NECKAR/D.R.P.u.A.P. with left frame showing MAUSER logo. A further WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N appears atop the barrel flat. Safety is marked S and F. German {Crown/U} commercial proof marking is struck into the barrel, indicating this to be a commercial production Mauser and not a military model. The serial number indicates this was most likely a commercial production firearm completed in the 1930s. Item shows a modern importer marking beneath the triggerguard reading SPORTING GOODS EXP/RUTHER GROTON. Frame is cut for attaching a shoulder stock and displays a lanyard loop.
