8vo. Original purple cloth (rubbing, evidence of old adhesive on rear boards).

FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE with P6 gutter code on p.199. Famously rescued from the garbage can by King's wife, Tabitha, Carrie was a massive success upon its initial publication and served as the basis for Brian De Palma's classic 1976 film of the same name.
