HILTON, James (1900-1954). Good-bye, Mr. Chips. Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1934.
8vo. Original blue-lettered tan cloth (some light staining on lower cover); dust jacket (rear panel slightly dampstained, some chipping and closed tears with old cellotape repairs on verso).
FIRST EDITION. INSCRIBED BY HILTON. Good-bye Mr. Chips was adapted into two films of the same name starring Robert Donat as Mr. Chips in 1939 and a musical in 1969 with Peter O’Toole reprising the role.
