Bingham, MI, resident Horace Green enlisted at the age of 43 as a sergeant and mustered into Company B, 3rd Michigan Cavalry, in October 1861. He died of disease on 2 March 1862 at St. Louis, MO, and is buried at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.
