[AFRICAN AMERICANA - EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. A group of 5 Reconstruction-era photographs of African American subjects in Thomasville, Georgia, by FIELD and MOLLER.
5 boudoir photographs taken in Thomasville, Georgia, by A.W. Moller (1) and Field (4). Images approx. 4 1/2 x 7 5/8 in., or smaller, on cardstock mounts (very fine condition, with light toning, light edge wear to mounts).
The photographs feature views of African American men, women, and children in various settings, including working in the field, posing outside a cabin, and riding through town in a horse-drawn cart. Most are untitled with the exception of the photograph by A.W. Moller, which includes an applied paper label on verso with title, "Uncle Wests' team."
