4pp., folio, 24 x 17 1/4 in. A report of Wyatt Earp being appointed a Deputy US Marshal is featured on page 3, column 1. The report states, in part, "Wyatt Earp has received the appointment of Deputy United States Marshal, vice Virgil Earp. Marshal Dake telegraphed the appointment upon receipt of the news of Virgil's injuries."
