[MILITARIA]. A group of gun-related tools and accessories.
This lot contains 22 items as follows:
(3) Scissor style round bullet molds, one brass nominally .44 caliber, one iron nominally .33 caliber and one massive iron mold with a nominally 1.2" cavity and holes on each side for some sort of removable plugs. This large mold is 13.75" in overall length. (3) Civil War era tompions, including a .58 caliber short wood tompion 2" in length, a .58 caliber long wood tompion 2.75" in length and a well worn Wilmot's Patent expandable India rubber tompion. (16) 19th to early 20th century gun tools, including (1) US Model 1861 tool, brightly blued, (1) US Model 1855 Band Spring & Tumbler Punch tool with post-war screwdriver modification, (1) dug condition US Model 1855 combination tool, (1) unmarked US Model 1855 Mainspring Vise, (1) US Model 1861 Rifle Musket Tool modified for post-war use with the cartridge altered Sharps Carbines, (1) US Model 1861 Rifle Musket tool modified for post-war use with the Model 1870 Trapdoor Rifle and Carbine, (2) Spencer Rifle/Carbine tools, (3) US .58 caliber wipers, (1) Austrian Model 1854 Cleaning Jag, (1) 19th century commercial ball screw, (1) three-leg flintlock tool of indeterminate origin, a screwdriver blade from a French Model 1866 Chassepot combination tool and a handle for a Russian 1891 Mosin Nagant screwdriver.
