A rare near pair of Louis XV oak side tables with rouge marble tops, 18th / 19th century
With shaped and carved aprons having central shells, delicate cabriole legs with rocaille-carved knees terminating in hoof feet.

Condition Report
each with slightly varying design features (including surface carving), not an exact pair, but a near pair; table one: constructed with center brace to support marble top, the apron generally with some splits or age cracks, minor occasional losses to carved details, and with evidence of fill to holes or losses; two legs with evidence of a repaired breaks toward apron / frame attachment, with glue and nail reinforcement, and with a few small losses along seams or edges, with thoughtful fill added to disguise breaks, some tightening to other leg joints, marble top in great overall condition, with only minor occasional knicks or surface scratches; table two: the apron with some age cracks and some splits, and having some occasional fill; the leg / apron joints probably tightened for stability, some wear and minor losses to carved details in some places, one shell along apron retaining evidence of white paint flecks, the marble top showing expected signs of wear, including one crater / surface chip and an age crack that has been thoughtfully filled, some minor scratches commensurate with age and use
