overall in fine condition, with nice gilded surface that presents well; the gilding has been refreshed and touched up in places, and with some minor loss to gilding and gesso along edges; the arms in particular with rubbing and loss commensurate with use; the joints along back-rest / crest-rail with some losses or chips along seams commensurate with age, in particular to upper left-facing back edge seam; some repaired / stabilized cracks to lower sides of back-rest, the right-facing side with an area of fill; the underside of seat with later webbing and springs (dust cover removed for inspection), and the chair has been custom upholstered
