Second Half 19th Century
bearing crossed swords mark in underglaze blue to the underside; with gilt presentation inscription in German to the interior of the lid.

Note:
The inscription on the underside of lid translates as "To their departing comrade/ in loyalty and devotion/ the officers of the 10th Regiment". It is possible this is in reference to the 10th Royal Saxon Infantry.
