A Chinese Fahua 'Figural' Vase, Meiping
Ming Dynasty, 16th Century
with swelling shoulder over waisted base and slightly flared foot, waisted neck and slightly cupped lip, the body decorated in turquoise and white with figures in a windswept landscape with stylized clouds, elaborate "cloud-collar" to the neck, lappets at the base, cobalt blue ground.
