FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE with lines 20-21 on p.242 reading “premises - said he / was occupying his /”. Twain's follow up to his first travel memoir the year prior, TheInnocents Abroad, in which he recounts his travels from Missouri to Nevada, and from California to Hawaii, which took him seven years.
