A Victorian Calamander, Silver and Cut Glass Dressing Box,
RETAILED BY HOWELL, JAMES & CO., LONDON,
the hinged lid inlaid with a brass monogram VEA and opening to a fitted interior enclosing two swing-out compartments each with two tiers and a button-release jewelry drawer, further fitted with two vacant drawers and a drop down velvet-lined surface, set with eleven cut glass jars and bottles, a variety of implements, two brushes and two combs; six silver lids marked for George Betjemann & Sons., London, 1876 and 1877; two brushes marked L&S, Birmingham, 1922, some articles associated, some lids replaced and unmarked.
