An Egyptian Faience Ushabti for Ramesesheru
New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, 1307-1196 B.C.
Height 5 inches (13 cm).
Provenance:
Private Collection (J.W.), Georgia, prior to 2009.
Note:
The inscription reads: "The Osiris, the sedjem-ash servant [whose name is] Ramesesheru, sure of voice." The owner’s name literally means, “[The pharaoh] Rameses is happy." For another object with the same name and period date, see The Ramesesheru Stele (Le Musee du Louvre, Inv. no. E. 3629).
