Lot Description
A Roman Terracotta Harpocrates Riding a Goose
Circa 2nd Century A.D.
Height 6 1/2 inches (16 cm).

Harlan J. Berk Ltd., Chicago, 178 Buy or Bid Sale, 26 March 2008, Lot 534.
Condition Report
Intact. Repairs to the proper left side near the foot of the goose and base; other repair or restoration to the midsection of the figure, both not affecting the overall stability. Chips with minor losses to the beak of the goose and head of figure. Overall weathered surface with surface cracks, abrasions, chipping, and incrustations throughout. Green felt affixed to the underside of the base. Old label and stamp on the back of the terracotta. Mounted to a modern metal base. Height with base 7 inches.
