Lot Description
A Lucanian Black-Glazed Column Krater
Circa 2nd Half of 6th Century B.C.
Height 16 inches (40 cm).

Provenance:
Private Estate, Connecticut, acquired in the mid-1980s.
(with signed statement from estate executor)

Note:

Condition Report
Repaired from multiple large fragments, with fill and overpainting in the breaks to mask repairs; overpainting in the painted areas recognizable, with some areas now crackling and flaking. Heavy surface wear, chips, incrustation, some  pitting, and losses throughout.
