A vignette ink identified on verso as "Act. Ensign / J.H. Fink." Mound City, IL: J.B. Leonard, n.d. (intermittent toning, rounded corners). Verso with photographer's imprint. Joseph H. Fink is noted as Acting Carpenter 7/10/1863, Acting Ensign 4/22/1865, discharged 3/21/1866.
[With:] A copy vignette identified in pencil simply as "Capt. Williams." Baltimore, MD: Jas. S. Walters, n.d. (occasional spotting). Imprint stamped in blue ink.
[Also with:] Unknown officer with the rank of Master, ink identified beneath portrait "Joseph W. Girch" (?). Boston, MA: Higgins & Collier, n.d. (toning, occasional spotting). This name could not be extracted from the Navy List.
