Lot Description
[CIVIL WAR]. LYTLE, Andrew D. (1858-1917), photographer. Albumen photograph of paddle wheeler. Baton Rouge, LA: A.D. Lytle, n.d.

10 x 8 1/8 in. albumen photograph on cardstock mount (toned, some staining; mount soiled). Photographer's imprint stamped to mount verso.

An outdoor image of an unidentified two-story stern-wheeler steamship with a single steam stack. Her crew is posed on both decks and the roof. A covered wagon hitched to a pair of horses held by a mustachioed man is at the right foreground. Presumably taken on the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge.
