5 x 7 1/4 in. albumen photograph on 9 x 12 in. mount with F.V. Hayden / US Geological Survey of the Territories imprint (toning, some staining to print, print lifting from mount; mount appears to be trimmed, some water damage). Credited on mount at lower left to William Henry Jackson. Verso identification, "Tu Tuc A Picish Te Ruk/ A policeman soldier of the Skeedees (Pawnee)."
Also known as "One Who Gives to the Poor" or "Prairie Chicken", Tu-Tuc-A-Picish-Te-Ruk was a Tribal policeman and scout for the US Government, ca 1868.
