Lot Description
Henry C. Flick, 30th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment (1st Pennsylvania Reserves). A group of 4 items highlighted by identified corps badge, comprising: 

1 5/8 in. field-made wartime blue wool V Army Corps badge finished with stitching along edges (some discoloration to stitching and minor fraying to corners). Blue color indicates 3rd Division.

[With:] 5 3/4 in. marble memorial paperweight in V Corps badge form, engraved and filled with gold paint (some soiling and discoloration to lettering and marble surface). Engraved text reads, "1861. / H. Flick. / Co. E. 1st P.R.V.C. / 1864."

[With:] Civil War escutcheon for Henry C. Flick, 17 5/8 x 23 7/8 in., framed (light discoloration, unexamined out of the frame). Colorfully hand painted with Flick's service record, the escutcheon lists the battle honors of his unit and features a 2 1/2 x 2 1/4 in. (sight) tintype of Flick in uniform at bottom.

[Also with:] Official Record of Henry Flick, 457 E. Strawberry Street, Lancaster, Penna., Company E 30th Regiment, First Pennsylvania Reserve Vol., War of the Rebellion, 1861 to 1864. January 1925. 3 1/2 x 4 7/8 in. booklet written and published by Flick recounting his adventures during the war.

Henry C. Flick enlisted as a private on 12 July 1861 and mustered into Company E, 30th Pennsylvania Infantry the same day. Almost exactly 3 years later, he was mustered out at Philadelphia on 13 July 1864.
