A group of 3 items, incl. Civil War soldier's folk art wood carving from Camp Falmouth, Virginia. 1862.
3 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 3/8 in. dark wood block featuring soldier's skillfully carved words in low relief, which read “CAMP PROSPECT / FALMOUTH / Va / April 18th 1862.” Accompanied by an aged tag inscribed, “40C56 / CW Soldier’s / carving.”
[With:] 1 1/2 x 1 x 1/2 in. dark wood carved in the form of a miniature book with a stylized design on its cover (few small chips to corners and edges).
[Also with:] A small jack knife featuring bone grips with a cross hatch design.
