A Chinese Export Mandarin Palette Porcelain Punch Bowl

Late 18th Century

Height 4 7/8 x diameter 11 1/4 inches.

Condition Report

No marks to the underside. In fine, stable condition. A few minor fleabite chips to the rim as well as a small repair where a 1/4-inch arc of the rim was broken off and glued back on. Examination under UV light shows two hairline cracks where there were larger instances of repair to the edge of the bowl, neither immediately available under natural light. The glaze largely bright and attractive with only minor rubbing to gilt elements. Additional images available upon request.
