paper label affixed to verso with genealogical information, reading Presented to Alonzo H, Wilcox / Sept. 11, 1888. / From his Grandmother Wilcox / Aged Eighty three the third of Aug. 1888. / Painted by your Grandfather's Sister Betsey Pratt / And presented to him in 1830.

Condition Report
In overall stable condition. Even discoloration to ground, with loss of pile in small areas, most notably to upper and lower right corners. Minor spotting to center left edge. Slight textural irregularity (creasing or overlapping) to upper right corner. Greenish discoloration, possibly pigment bleeding, to left handle of basket.
