Condition Report
In overall stable and usable condition. Retaining a fairly even patina throughout. The mirror plate shows age and is likely original, but could be an early replacement. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Four later blocks added to the back for additional support. Some areas of lifting to the veneer, likely associated to underlying shrinkage. Age cracks visible to the base. Dirt and residue to the surface. The proper back right (flat) column is cracked in the center, but is repaired and structurally sound. Rubbing and chip losses to the gilt feet. The molding at the top of the case, beneath the marble, is likely 20th Century. The marble top is a 20th Century replacement. The horizontal support blocks beneath the marble are replaced.
