Two Jacquard Coverlets, One by Charles Adolph (American/French, 1815-after 1870)
wool and cotton, the two corner blocks reading Charles Adolph/ Henry Co./ Indiana/ 1861; the other example dated 1842 to the two corner blocks.

Condition Report
84 5/8 x 76 3/4 inches: Scattered areas of a brownish discoloration throughout, as well as to the ends of the fringe. The predominately white side fairly discolored.
88 x 70 1/2 inches: Two minor deposits of a red material to one florette. Scattered instances of faint discoloration throughout, as well as to the white fringe. Discoloration to the side with the predominately white ground. Scattered instances of surface loss to the design.
