Lot Description
A Pair of Federal Brass-Mounted, Carved and Crossbanded Mahogany Console Tables
In the Manner of John and Thomas Seymour, Massachusetts, Circa 1800
Height 28 3/4 x width 47 x depth 21 1/8 inches.
Condition Report
Each in overall fine and stable condition. Retaining a fairly consistent patina throughout, though likely refinished and showing a darker circle to the center of each top. Old scuffs, marks and scratches visible in few areas. Few small areas of veneer loss. One small area of veneer lifting. Two of the front legs on one seemed to have been slightly cracked at the junction with the case, but they are stable. Few screws to the top appear to be replaced.
Distance between two front legs: 29 1/2 inches.
