with low rounded sides, the cover painted in an intense cobalt blue with a phoenix and a dragon chasing a flaming pearl, the raised bands around the rim decorated with foliate scrolls, the base inscribed with an underglaze blue Wanli six-character mark in double rings.

Overall in fine condition with pitting to the interior, and firing imperfections to the foot. There are minor chips to the mouth rim.
