Collection of 19th and Early 20th Century Menswear, 1850-1910

This lot includes five menswear pieces: Two jackets, one pant, two shirts. 

THE FIRST
Dark heather gray wool men's overcoat with single notch lapel, interior pockets, and front button closures.

THE SECOND
Black wool broadcloth double breast evening jacket with fisheye notch lapels, quilted lining, and satin covered buttons; paired with matching black wool button-fly pants with back waist cinch. "H.H.M."  initials are hand written inside of the sleeve hems.

Condition:

THE FIRST
The overall condition is good with the following:
Structural Issues: There are some small splits in armhole lining.
Losses: See Insect Damage.
Fading/Color Change: The lining has moderate discoloration throughout the entirety.
Soiling/Spots: There is soiling under each of the arms in the lining.
Insect Damage: There are several holes, mostly on the front neckline, and upper back of the coat.
Repairs/Alterations: There is a small repair made on the back left shoulder.

THE SECOND
The overall condition of the jacket good structurally and the pants are in poor condition, with the following:
Structural Issues: The pants waistband and lining has shredded.
Split/Separated Seams: The front right pocket in the pants is separating at the side seam.
Fading/Color Change: The interior lining has some fading in the lining that has resulted in a variegated look.
Soiling/Spots: The jacket has some soiling along the neckline and upper shoulders, under each arm in the lining, and back coat tail lining. There are a few light spots on the exterior of the jacket, most noticeably on the front left lapel and back coat tail hems. The pants have an orange colored spotting on the front right next to the button fly opening.
Insect Damage: The upper back right shoulder has some small holes showing some previous insect activity.
Repairs/Alterations: There is a repair on the center back waist of the jacket. 

THE THIRD
The overall condition is very good structurally with the following:
Soiling/Spots: There is some soiling along the neckline and upper chest area due to wear.

THE FOURTH
The overall condition is good with the following:
Soiling/Spots: There is some heavy soiling along neckline with moderate soiling down the front, back, and under each arm.
