Three Evening Bodices, 1880s

This lot includes three bodices. 

THE FIRST
Dark teal silk satin bodice with smocked and gathered teal silk patterned satin, band collar, long plain sleeves, and center front covered button closures.

THE SECOND
Blue silk/wool blend taffeta bodice with rounded band collar, cuffed long sleeves, and brass-tone front button closures.

Condition:

THE FIRST
The overall condition is fair with the following:
Losses: The fourth button down is losing the crocheted cover and the bottom hem of the back peplum panels has some small holes along the edges.
Fading/Color Change: The jacquard fabric is very noticeably faded the entire length of the bodice.   
Soiling/Spots: The bodice has moderate to heavy soiling throughout the interior, mostly under the arms, the collar, the shoulders, and waist, with the underarm soiling showing through to the shell. The front jacquard panels have some dark spots on the front left chest.

THE SECOND
The overall condition is fair with the following:
Structural Issues: Each sleeve has several splits on both the fronts and backs.
Split/Separated Seams: The front left boning casing nearest the front opening is separating from the lining.
Losses: The 16th button down is missing. Each of the sleeves is missing five buttons. There are holes in the black taffeta facing along the bodice hem.
Fading/Color Change: There are small spots of lightening along the back top shoulders.
Soiling/Spots: The collar, upper shoulders, and under arms are moderately soiled in the lining with the under arm soiling showing through to the shell fabric. There are faint yellowed spots down the center front next to the opening with a darker one on the front right bust and waist as well as down each of the sleeves.

THE THIRD
The overall condition is good with the following:
Structural Issues: There is a 2" frayed area on the front left collar. An impression has been made on the back left peplum near the hemline. There is a split in the back hemline facing.
Losses: There is a small worn hole on the back left hem facing near center back.
Soiling/Spots: There is some light soiling throughout the lining with a few small spots near the interior neckline.
