Condition Report
In overall fine and stable condition.  Appears to retain period drawer pulls.  Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.  Areas of loss to the painted decoration, with losses to the gilt elements of the decoration.  The drawer slides in the top case appear to be original with rosehead nails, though one slide is likely replaced. The drop-finials appear to be original, though one was previously detached and reglued.  It is possible that the top and base are married as the backboards of each section appear different in their manufacture and color.  Additionally, the drawers in the bottom section appear to be late 19th/early 20th Century replacements, though those drawer fronts are period.  The paint decoration is likely mid-to-late 19th Century. The top drawer in the lower case shows that it was likely a longer drawer that was reduced in size as there is evidence close the edge of drawer where other pulls were once in place.  The drawer slides in the lower case are replaced.
