Condition Report
Condition:

The overall condition is poor-good with the following:

THE FIRST
Structural Issues: The dress lining is predominately shredded throughout the entire dress. Many areas of the dress velvet exterior has worn away the pile, most noticeably along the collar, inset vest, and the hemline. The underskirt has a hole on the front right hip and the center back hemline has split. The velvet panel on the underskirt has some worn edges along the hemline pleats.
Split/Separated Seams: The dress's right sleeve has some popped stitches along the back armhole and several lengths of the chenille braid has come loose from its tackings. The left side seam on the underskirt has split just under the waistband.
Losses: There are numerous bead losses to the beaded tassels along both sides of the dress. Some beads are maintained with the garment. Four buttons are missing from the front closure. The underskirt is missing a connection loop on the front right bottom.
Fading/Color Change: The underskirt crinoline has faded to a brown color from black.
Soiling/Spots: The dress is heavily soiled throughout the exterior and interior.
Corrosion/Tarnish: The black beading has developed an opaque white reside on their exteriors which has also caused the black fibers to turn orange where they were in prolonged contact.
Repairs/Alterations: The dress petersham belt appears to have been shortened at some point and the sleeves have been let out along with the side seams.

THE SECOND
Structural Issues: The purple satin facing along the button holes is starting to shred and the satin ribbon finishing are worn through in areas along the neckline.
Fading/Color Change: Under the arms.
Soiling/Spots: The underarms are soiled and is noticeable through to the exterior with some discoloration.
