[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY - MILITARY]. Sixth plate ambrotype portrait of a British regular army officer with shako and sword. 

Sixth plate ambrotype featuring a haughty-looking British officer wearing a single breasted 1856 pattern red tunic, belt plate, and 1845 pattern officer's sword, housed in a leatherette case. (Image with light wear to emulsion; unsealed; surface scratches to case.) Subject is posed with an 1856 pattern shako on the table next to him.
