[CIVIL WAR]. Ninth plate ambrotype of Union soldier armed with Bowie knife and pistol.
Ninth plate ambrotype portrait of a federal soldier with hand coloring. (Some spots of loss and light fading to image, with paper backing; unsealed.) Housed in a full pressed paper case (surface wear throughout). The uniformed subject is posed with a bowie knife and a pistol tucked into his waist belt, which is hand-colored red. Subject's buttons and belt plate are highlighted in gold.
