[CONTINENTAL CONGRESS]. A collection of signatures from delegates to the Continental Congress, 1764-1815, comprising:

BOWDOIN, James (1726-1790). Autograph letter signed ("James Bowdoin"), as Second Governor of Massachusetts. Council Chamber, [Boston?], 7 June 1786.  1 page, 7 3/8 x 11 7/8, some separations along old folds with occasional repair to verso. Bowdoin acknowledges his reception of a letter from Congress respecting the commission established to settle the boundary dispute between Massachusetts and New York.

New York, 27 April [1765]. Docketed "Robt. R. Livingston" to verso of a document. -- MOWRY, Daniel, Jr. (1729-1806). Autograph document signed ("Dan'l Mowry Jun'r"). Smithfield, RI, 19 June 1767. -- HUNTINGTON, Benjamin (1736-1800). Endorsement signed ("Benj. Huntington"), as Norwich clerk. Norwich, [CT], 20 August 1768. Manuscript deed with Huntington's acknowledgment of reception. -- ALLEN, Andrew (1740-1825). Autograph document signed ("Andrew Allen"). Bedford County, PA, July 1771. (Separations to old creases, repairs to verso.) An indictment. -- SERGEANT, Jonathan D. (1746-1793). Autograph document signed ("Jonathan D. Sergeant"). Bedford County, PA, October 1780. An indictment of John W. Gaughey, Jr. for assault. -- PEABODY, Nathaniel (1742-1823). Autograph note signed ("Nath. Peabody"). Atkinson, [NH], 7 July 1785. -- SULLIVAN, James (1744-1808). Autograph document signed ("Ja Sullivan"). Massachusetts, June 1790. -- ROOT, Jesse (1736-1822). Partly printed document signed ("Jesse Root"), as Connecticut Supreme Court justice. Norwich, CT, 20 March 1793. -- HOLTEN, Samuel (1738-1816). Autograph letter. Philadelphia, 22 January 1794. A copy of a letter sent to Stephen Cross. Holten made copies of his outgoing letters on integral blanks of letters previously sent to him. The integral free franked envelope panel is addressed to Holten from Boston. -- JACKSON, Jonathan (1743-1810). Partly printed document signed ("J Jackson"). Massachusetts, 24 February 1796. Duty payment for 14 gallons of first proof rum. -- SMITH, Thomas (1745-1809). Document signed ("Thomas Smith"), as Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice.
