Condition Report
In overall fine and stable condition. Retaining a fairly even, refinished surface throughout. Appears to retain the original marble top with few small frets to the front, decorative edges. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Age cracks visible in few areas, but none that cause concern for the structural integrity. Several minor segments of parquetry veneer are detached, but retained. There are other areas of veneer lifting and warping due to shrinkage of the underlying construction. The replaced, tooled leather writing surface is in good condition, showing little wear. There are few areas of veneer detached in which the detached pieces are lost. The top drawer is presently locked and the key that is retained does not seem to function with it. The lock mechanism on the lower right cupboard door is detached, but retained.
