Condition Report
Each in overall fair and stable condition. Retaining a fairly even painted surface throughout, though likely a 19th or early 20th Century paint, though there are traces of rubbing consistent with handling. Each of the marble tops appears to be early, if not original, with rough cut rear edges. Each having a smooth drawer action. Traces of worm visible, as well as, old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. One of the marble tops appears to be restored with metal reinforcement added within the marble. One of the tables having new iron L-brackets attached to the rear rail and the sides for the purpose of structural reinforcement. The other table's carved front rail beneath the marble top has been previously cracked, reglued and once again detached due to failure of the glue repair; the rail does not need to be reglued to ensure structural integrity, though it should likely occur in order to prevent any further damage.
