A George III Gold and Jewel Mounted Carved Bloodstone Clock-Inset Snuff Box
18th Century
the works signed 'Rob Sellers-London', the exterior with gold cagework decoration in the rococo taste, the lid with a jewel-inset thumbpiece and lifting to reveal an enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numeral dial, the base lid opening to a vacant interior compartment.
the interior rim of base double marked with later French Eagle-Head hallmark for 18-karat gold

Condition Report
Diameter of dial 1 1/4 inches. 
The hardstone case and gold cagework all appear in good condition without loss or restoration. The interior rim with the eagle-head marks with illegible scratched inventory numbers near hinge. The clock works appear intact, clock takes a wind does not appear to run. The winding key is likely later. Additional images available upon request.
