[L'ESTRANGE, Robert]. The Observator. 11 issue (incomplete run). London:  Joanna Brome, 1682-1687.

Folio, 11 issues, numbering: No. 288, 12 February 1682; No. 12, 4 February 1683; No. 13. 6 February 1683; No. 14. 9 February 1683; No. 199, 12 January 1684/5; No. 200. 14 January 1684/5; No. 226, 13 November 1686; No. 227, 17 November 1686; No. 237, 5 February 1686/7; No. 238, 9 February 1686/7; No. 239, 12 February 1686/7. (Some dampstaining, toning.) Disbound.

The Observator was a newspaper written by Roger L'Estrange in the form of a dialogue between a Whig and a Tory. It was published from April 13, 1681 to January 15, 1704. L'Estrange was a defender of the Monarchy, and promoted his anti-Whig agenda through this newspaper.

London: The Booksellers of London and Westminster, 1706. 3 issues numbering: No. 113, 15 June 1706.; No. 115, 22 June 1706; No. 116, 26 June 1706. Political commentary drafted as a conversation between "Country-man" and "the Rehearsal." -- 7 issues of 17th and 18th century newspapers, folio, disbound, conditions generally very good, some toning, occasional short marginal tears or chips.
