Lot Description
[CIVIL WAR]. Sixth plate tintype of Corporal Tappan S. Eaton, Company K, 35th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, WIA Antietam, 17 September 1862. 

Sixth plate tintype. (Some creasing to plate, few spots to surface). Housed in full leatherette case (wear to hinge, surface wear to edges and corners). With modern identification. 

Tappan S. Eaton was mustered into Company K of the 35th Massachusetts on 10 August 1862. Five weeks later he was wounded at the Battle of Antietam on 17 September 1862, and he died of wounds on 25 September at Keedysville, Maryland.
