Condition Report
Framed: 30 1/4 x 23 1/4 x 3 inches.
Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is lined; network of craquelures scattered throughout, with one small area of lifting paint along the upper left edge; three pinpoint paint losses along center left edge; one pinpoint area of white accretions in center, within the white drapery; minor frame abrasions along the extreme lower left edge; areas of inpainting visible under normal viewing condition in the upper right corner, within the body of the nymph in the lower right corner, as well as a few minor spots in the lower center, within the water. Under UV light: inpainting within the aforementioned areas, as well in scattered spots along the upper edge and right edge; areas of inpainting in the cheeks and lips of the two central nymphs; an area of inpainting in the center within the water, approximately 3 x 2 inches; possible inpainting in the proper left leg of the left-most nymph; additional small spots of inpainting scattered through the background.
