[REVOLUTIONARY WAR]. 8 Connecticut notes, incl. soldiers' pay documents and other receipts, 1780-82.

Autograph document signed ("G. Curtiss"). Highlands, 11 February 1781. Approx. 7 1/2 x 5 3/8 in. (occasional brown spotting).  -- Autograph document signed ("G. Cotton"). Camp, 6 October 1781. Approx. 8 1/4 x 5 in. Docketed to verso. -- Together, 2 manuscript documents receiving clothing for Connecticut regiments. 

[With:] Four partly printed receipts. Hartford, 1780-1782: 21 December 1780. 7 1/4 x 6 5/8 in. Payment of 48 pounds, 8 shillings, and 4 pence due Andrew Morrison. -- 25 December 1780. 7 1/4 x 6 5/8 in. Payment of 35 pounds, 2 shillings, and 2 pence due Samuel Vallet. -- 6 November 1782. 7 x 6 1/4 in. Payment of 12 pounds, 11 shillings, and 4 pence due Daniel Perkins. -- 2 December 1782. 7 x 7 in. Payment of 13 pounds, 12 shillings, and 11 pence due Jonathan Wilkinson. -- Each printed in Hartford, docketed to versos, condition very fine, minor toning. 

[Also with:] Two State of Connecticut Treasury partly printed pay documents. Connecticut, 1 February 1781. Approx. 7 3/8 x 3 3/4 in. (short separations along old folds, circular cancellations). Contemporary hand records interest payments from 1782 to 1789 to versos. Each completed and numbered in manuscript: No. 1153, 12 pounds, 1 shilling & 2 pence to Capt. Thomas Clarke; and No. 982, 325 pounds, 18 shillings, + 4 pence to John Eliott. Each undersigned by Treasurer John Lawrence (1719-1802).
