A Queen Anne Carved Bermuda Cedar Blanket Chest
Bermuda, 18th Century
having unusual dove-tails.
Height 33 1/2 x width 61 x depth 23 3/4 inches.

Condition Report
In fine and stable overall condition. Surface wear, scuffs and age splits throughout, consistent with age and use. 1" patch to back edge of lid, with resulting replaced hinges and several small patches to rear section of lid and upper section of back board. Replaced lock hardware to case and drawers, and case missing escutcheon. 1/2" board added to rear bottom board, likely to reverse an age split. Losses to upper left lid molding and lower right case molding. Two feet cracked and repaired. One foot with small patch. One drawer with horizontal crack to upper right. Other drawer patched to upper right. Both drawers with 1" board added to rear bottom board, likely to reverse age splits.
