Lot Description
Argentine Mauser Model 1891 Rifle by Ludwig Loewe
7.65x53mm. 29" barrel length. SN: C0253. Blued metal finish, with polished bolt and nitre blued finish to some parts. Walnut stock has a plain straight grip and forearm, with hand grooves, single barrel band, and a handguard that may have been replaced at some point. Bolt action rifle with an adjustable folding ladder notch rear sight and blade front sight. Item features double sling swivels, integrated box magazine, bayonet lug forend, and slotted head cleaning rod. Argentine crest on receiver ring has been ground off. Stock is marked with serial number on right side of forearm.

Condition Report
Good to very good. Bore is frosty. Finish is strong overall, with some scattered light scratches and sprinkled pit marks overall. Crest on receiver ring has been ground off. Handguard has different finish and shade than rest of stock, possibly replaced at some point. Buttplate has bare finish. Stock possibly refurbished at some point, wood has a rough unfinished appearance and stock markings on left side are somewhat shallow.
