Colt 1855 Sidehammer Root Model

Manufactured 1856

.28 caliber. 3.5" octagonal barrel. SN: 14969. Refurbished blue metal finish to frame and barrel, with case hardened lever and hammer. Smooth one piece walnut grip. Single action percussion revolver with frame notch rear sight, brass bead front sight, loading lever, and 5-shot cylinder with engraved cabin scene. Markings include Colt 1855 patent and Hartford address marks to top of barrel flat.

Condition Report

Fine as refurbished. Bore appears to be dark. Blued finish has been refurbished at some point, showing light scratches and pitting both above and below finish. Grip shows scratching and mars. Action is functional.
