(New York, NY). -- L.B. Silver (Salem, OH). -- H.A. Swartz (Somerset, OH) (2). -- Park & Switzer (Cumberland, MD). -- Prescott & Gage (Hartford, CT). -- Mrs. W.A. Reed (Quincy, IL) (2). -- J.H. Whitley & Co. (Elmira, NY). -- A.M. Allen (Pottsville, PA). -- Joslyn & Smith (Vicksburg, MS). -- W.L. Troxell (St. Louis, MO). -- O. Monroe (Dunkirk, NY). -- Atkinson Bros. (Des Moines, IA).

Identified subjects include: Wm. Eyer, 112th Illinois Volunteer Infantry. Uncredited. -- Portrait of possible Medical Staff Assistant Surgeon. New York: Fredricks & Co. -- Image after tintype/ambrotype of soldier armed with large pistol, period notation on verso signed by "Brother & Sister, R & H. Rush, May 14/64." Salem, OH: L.B. Silver. -- Unmounted albumen photograph after tintype/ambrotype of young soldier. -- Mustached man in civilian dress, inscribed on verso "W.H.? Cochran (?), Capt. Asst...." (difficult to discern). Nashua, NH: Charles Lindsey. -- Thomas Waterbury, 64th US Colored Troops. Vicksburg, MS: Joslyn & Smith. Signed/identified in lower margin and initialed on verso. -- Studio view of a uniformed soldier and his wife. St. Louis, MO: W.L. Troxell (rounded corners). -- Standing view of a soldier, modern identification on verso, "W.D. Durant, Ill. Vol. Inf." Uncredited.

[With:] 3 CDVs of European soldiers, possibly all from Germany. -- 2 souvenir cards from the Boer War. Each with painted feathers affixed to the front cover, one inscribed, "A Souvenir from the Anglo-Boer War," the other inscribed "Absence makes the Heart grow fonder." Each contains a 3 3/4 x 5 in. photograph taken during the war, including a view of artillery.

Together, 26 photographs. Condition generally good, with toning, occasional soiling, edge and corner wear.
