[CIVIL WAR]. 15 CDVs & cabinet cards, incl. Lincoln, his generals, Tom Thumb, & other personalities.

The group is comprised of the following:

Our Peace Commissioners for 1865. CDV, composite view of Lincoln at center, surrounded by Union officers, including Grant, Sherman, Sheridan, Thomas, Farragut, and Porter. New York: Anthony (some soiling, clipped corners). -- Army of Potomac. CDV, composite view of Grant at center, surrounded by six generals, including Meade, Hancock, and Warren. New York: Anthony (soiling, toning, some loss to top left edge of print, mount trimmed). -- CDV of Hugh J. Kilpatrick. New York: Brady (soiling, edge and corner wear to mount).

[With:] 2 memorial CDVs of Abraham Lincoln, the first, an oval-length view of Lincoln mounted on cardstock, his name, birth and dead dates printed below. With "Sketch of President Lincoln's Life" and printed details below. Brooklyn, NY: J. Hall. Additional ink stamps of Fred Maker, Books and Magazines, Oakland, CA (mount corners clipped). The second CDV features a vignetted view of Lincoln at center, surrounded by different scenes. San Francisco, CA: Dewing & Laws, ca 1865-1866. 2-cent US Internal Revenue stamp on verso (some light soiling).

[With:] Unmounted albumen print of John C. Fremont, 3 x 2 1/8 in. -- Unmounted albumen print of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, 3 1/8 x 2 1/4 in. (top edges rounded). -- CDV of "Gov. Sprague & Lady," after lithograph/engraving. Chicago, IL: R.R. Landon (soiling). -- CDV after lithograph/engraving captioned, "Washington's Last Interview with his Mother" (clipped corners). -- CDV, after painting of several statesmen gathered together. -- 1 3/4 x 1 1/2 in. print of Benjamin Harrison on cardstock mount, with identification and "Heisel's Party Gum" printed below (toning, some soiling).

[Also with:] CDVs of General Tom Thumb and his "Fairy Bride" Lavinia Warren Stratton. New York: Brady, Anthony. Each with facsimile signatures of the bride and groom on verso (each with some edge and corner wear). -- 2 cabinet cards of Solomon Smith Russell, 19th century comedic stage actor. Chicago, IL: Morrison (each with light edge and corner wear).
