Lot Description
Lot of 3 African Swords Including: Congolese Ngulu, Nsakara, Maasai Seme
1.) Congolese Ngulu - 19.5" blade. 28" overall. Single edge blade with sickle-like backward curve and four pronged backside. Blade also has fluting to left side and simple hash mark engravings to both sides. Grip is carved wood that is fitted with tacks and wire wrapping.
2.) Congolese Nsakara - 24" blade. 29" overall. Single and double edged blade with a nsakara style forward curve and phallic motif. Blade is chiseled with incised lines overall to one side. Grip is carved wood with octagonal facets.
3.) Maasai Seme - 17" blade. 21.5" overall. Double edged leaf shaped blade with a widened tip and central ridge to both sides. Grip appears to be wrapped with leather.
2.) Congolese Nsakara - 24" blade. 29" overall. Single and double edged blade with a nsakara style forward curve and phallic motif. Blade is chiseled with incised lines overall to one side. Grip is carved wood with octagonal facets.
3.) Maasai Seme - 17" blade. 21.5" overall. Double edged leaf shaped blade with a widened tip and central ridge to both sides. Grip appears to be wrapped with leather.

Condition Report
All items are in about fair to good condition. Items all show scattered oxidation, pitting, and scratching to blades. Grips also show scratching, losses, residue, and mars.
