Two Chinese Pierced and Carved Pendants
LATE QING DYNASTY
晚清 琥珀雕瓜棱形掛墜及灰白玉透雕螭龍掛墜各一件
the first an amber example in the form of a melon, the second a white and grey jade example, carved with chilong.

Condition Report
The amber example with losses at the carved and reticulated vines on either side, that do not detract from the overall impression of the work. The surface with slight soiling and nicks, particularly near the top at sites of friction with the gilt mount. The mounting with inlays of kingfisher feather present to two leaves, and showing some tarnish alongside signs of age and use. The jade example in good condition. Each bearing a handwritten accession number.
