Lot Description
[CIVIL WAR]. Quarter plate tintype of a soldier walking down the street of a likely Carolina town, with sign for oyster saloon partly visible.

Quarter plate tintype. (Clipped corners, some wear and damage from mat, otherwise clarity rather strong; unsealed.) Housed under mat, glass, and preserver, no case. A soldier in uniform, appearing to carry his firearm over one shoulder, walks away from the camera, down the street of what is likely a town in South Carolina. A sign on one building reads, "Saddlery," and a sign at the bottom of another building reads, "Fruits, Oyster Saloon, Segars."
