A George II Style Mahogany Pier Table

19th Century

Height 34 3/4 x width 46 1/4 x depth 20 inches.

Condition Report

The front legs, carved edge of the top and carved lower edge of the frieze are 18th or 19th century, but the back legs and the rectangular mahogany top appear to be 20th century replacements. There is a very slight separation between the frieze and the top due to shrinkage, only visible when the table is looked at from underneath. Darker patina overall, not highly polished. Old scuffs and discolorations to the older elements as is normal. Sturdy and attractive.
